Senior managers of Turkish Airlines A.O. participated in the event that took place at Turkish Technic's hangar at İstanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport. The event helped AJET to strengthen its new brand name in the aviation industry.
Commenting on the foundation of AJET, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of Turkish Airlines said: "Today, we have launched the establishment works of AJet. Thanks to our continuing endeavors, AJet will be flying in the sky at the end of March 2024 within the frame of its summer schedule. I am fully convinced that AJet will become an essential part of the industry's understanding of low-cost aviation, considering the fact that the company is likely to grow at a global scale with its new brand name.
AJET has been established with the goals of doing business as a low-cost airline at global standards and strengthening the competitive position of the company. Starting from the end of March 2024, the company will continue its central operations from İstanbul Sabiha Gökçen and Ankara Esenboğa Airports.
Planning to do business with an environment-friendly view in line with its vision of sustainability, AJET is set to enter into the low-cost market with an innovative perspective. The company intends to gain a cost advantage by simplifying its services and modifying the economy class and to reflect the outcomes on the flight fares to be able to offer air transport services to a wider group of people
